RMIT 2020 program - Using Canva to create Election Graphics
This was originally taught in an RMIT online class in October 2020 (a live "test run").
It was written as part of the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (becoming a TAFE and workplace teacher and program creator). It has been improved; a 4-group class discussion and an extra video have now been added.

Workplace staff training session - Digital Retail Signage Guide - June 2026 under development
This is a how-to guide for creating digital artwork for retail screens (that display product photos, "plan language" descriptions and prices). This is similar to the work I did for Melbourne Zoo Twilights' large screens (see videos) and for the front-entrance information & exhibits screens (see animated gif at the end of the page) at Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, and Werribee Zoo.

Workplace staff training session - Health Promotional Signage Guide - June 2026 under development
Moving from an AI-created sign (created by Client) to a simplified, stronger messaging and imagery sign.
How can you streamline the wording and enhance the imagery while incorporating branding and style elements from the existing brand? In some ways, this is similar to the work I did in the COVID-19 Response and Dining and Entertainment programs.

EPA SiteCore: How to Create a New Web Publishing Page - staff guide.
This guide was created in 2024, back when the EPA had a slightly painful SiteCore CMS website.
They have now moved on to a version of SDP (Drupal).

Usability Thinking

1.

Sick Pay Guarantee - Postcard and Website step-by-step words v2 2022
This was some early thinking about how we could simplify the (how to sign up and to claim process) a step-by-step wording for use on printed postcards, social media graphics and on the website.

Reviews

1.

2021 review of the Business Victoria website online COVID-19 Response information "Virtual Assistant" AI bot. This was a review of the pros and cons of the "Virtual Assistant" AI bot, along with a recommendation on whether we should keep it.

The large images below:

• Images 1 and 2 display health promotional signage at the doctor's surgery, raising awareness of iron deficiency.

• Image 3 shows a 2023 screenshot of the SDP Platform Media Library, which contains Sick Pay Guarantee assets, including PDFs and images. This was included in the Sick Pay Guarantee SDP Platform training handover documents I created.

• Image 4 shows a "mock-up" (test) of a new banner photo and SPG-coloured logos on the SDP platform. This combination does not work. We ended up using the white logos you see in the TROVE web archive backup of the page.
